New York Men’s Store

New York during the Holidays is a wild time. Everywhere you look there is an explosion of color and marketing. At the newly opened Men’s Store, Nordstrom sought to create a refuge from the bustle and cacophony of Manhattan during this busy time of year.

I wanted to bring nature indoors and celebrate the crossover of the domestic and the natural that happens during Christmas. To create this feeling, I helped commission and direct some beautiful photography to take customers into a more natural and calming setting. The graphics I came up with matched the imagery and decor, as well as the warm gold and deep colors that were already present in the store. We wanted the customer to experience this throughout the entire store, from the exterior of the building down to merchandise signage. In busy Manhattan, we offered people the chance to set their bags down and relax.
